A quiet day: we couldn't confirm any public events for Sunday. If you're hosting one, tell us and we'll add it.
Coming up
- Potsdam Light the Night Parade is Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. downtown, with the Ives Park tree lighting at 7. Parade entries are due Nov. 20.
- Zoo New York's Winter Wonder Lights is expected to start the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28). We'll confirm when the zoo posts its schedule.
Before you go
Times and prices come from each organizer's listing or local news coverage, and we checked each one. Where no price is shown, the organizer didn't publish one. Church bazaars and chicken barbecues sell out, so go early. Know of something we missed? Submit your event.
If you run a local business
The first weekend in November is when holiday shopping in the North Country starts to show up in person. Bazaars and artisan markets bring out the people who like to buy local and buy early. If you sell gifts, food or services that make good gifts, this is a good week to update your Google listing with holiday hours and post what you have in stock. Shoppers who start at a church bazaar on Saturday are often on Main Street the same afternoon.
